Managing numbers

When logged in you will see a column on the left side of your screen. You can access your preferences by selecting the categories shown in this column. For number management, you will need to select the “Numbers” option.

From this screen, you can view your numbers status, see whether call recording is enabled, see if SMS messaging is enabled, and see what forwarding option and number you have configured for a particular number. The status indicates whether a number is active or disabled.

Disable Number(s):

In certain instances, a user may wish to temporarily or permanently disable a number but retain it. To do this, you can hover over the 3 dots on the right and select “Pause” from the options that appear.

Delete Number(s):

To have numbers from your account removed, you will need to contact our Customer Success department at 800-800-4321 or email support@800.com.

Enable SMS Messaging:

To utilize our SMS feature, you must have a plan which includes SMS messaging. Currently the capable plans include Personal Monthly/Yearly, Unlimited Monthly/Yearly, or Pro Monthly/Yearly. If you are enrolled in one of these plans, you can enable or disable SMS messaging with the SMS toggle on this screen. This feature will be enabled by default when an account is opened with one of these plans.

Purchase Number(s):

All of 800.com's current plans include one toll free number, one local number, and one fax number with the exception of our Pro plan which includes 5 toll free numbers. If you do not have one of the 3 allotted numbers (fax/local) you can click the "Purchase Numbers" option on the top right of the page. This will open a box that lets you select what type of number you would like to add. If you're adding a toll free number you can use the search bar to narrow your results. If you're looking to add a local number or fax, you can search by area code to see what is available.

You have the ability to purchase additional toll free numbers outside of what your current plan offers. If you were to add additional numbers then there is an additional cost monthly for that number. Here is a link to our Overview of plans and billing

*To avoid interruption with your toll-free service we advise to wait until 800.com has successfully ported-in before cancelling service with your current provider.

For call recording and to update forwarding and voicemail settings, you can either click on the number for which you wish to edit your preferences or you can hover over the 3 dots on the right and select “Manage” from the options that appear.
