How To Integrate 800.com With Your Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

To activate Google Analytics 4 integrations within your 800.com dashboard, ensure you have:

  • A GA4 property set up
  • A website data stream configured
  • The GA4 tag installed on your site

Connecting your GA4 to Your Website

Step 1: Install the GA4 Tag

Option 1: Use Google Tag Manager
  1. Log in to Google Tag Manager.
  2. Select an existing container or create a new one.
  3. Add a new tag:
    • Choose Tag Configuration > Google Analytics: GA4 Configuration.
    • Enter your Measurement ID (found in GA4 under Data Streams).
    • Set up a trigger (e.g., All Pages).
  4. Save and publish the container.
Option 2: Add GA4 Code Manually
  1. Copy the global site tag (gtag.js) from your GA4 data stream setup page.
  2. Paste the code into the <head> section of your website’s HTML.
  3. Save and publish your changes.

Step 2: Verify Data Collection

  1. Open your website in a browser.
  2. In the GA4 dashboard, go to Admin > DebugView to see real-time data.
  3. Confirm that events (such as page views) are being tracked.

Integrating with 800.com

Step 1: Log in to Your 800.com Account

Log in to your account. Ensure you have administrative access, as only admins can generate and manage API tokens.

If you’re not already using 800.com, sign up for an account and then log in.

Step 2: Create a New GA4 Integration

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Locate the GA4 tab.
  3. Click Add Integration, fill out all required fields, and hit Activate.
  • Measurement ID: Find this in GA4 under Data Streams in the Property Column.
  • GA4 API Secret: Locate this in GA4 under Data Streams > Measurement Protocol API Secrets.

Step 3: Secure Your API Token

  1. Once the token is generated, copy it immediately as it may not be viewable again for security reasons.
  2. Store the token securely, such as in a password manager or encrypted file.

Deleting GA4 Integrations

If you suspect a token has been compromised or is no longer needed:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Locate the API tab.
  3. Find the token in the list and click Delete.
  4. Confirm the action by hitting Delete again to immediately disable the token.

You can generate a new token if needed and update your integrations accordingly.
