Multi-Language Inbound Routing for Your 800 AI Agent
If your business serves customers in more than one language, you no longer need to build and maintain a separate 800 AI Agent for each one. A single agent can now be configured to support multiple languages, cutting down on the duplicate setup previously required.
Why This Matters
Previously, handling inbound calls in multiple languages required creating a separate agent for each language — including its own configuration and greeting. For a business supporting just English and Spanish, this could mean managing multiple agents to cover one phone line. Now, one agent can be configured to support several languages at once.
How to Set Up Multiple Languages
- Go to AI Agents > Agents and open the agent you want to configure.
- Under Agent Configurations, find the Language field.
- Click Add languages (or +[N] languages if some are already added).
- Search for and select the additional languages your agent should support — options include languages like Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese.
- Save your changes when done.
Good to Know
- This replaces the need to maintain multiple agents solely to support different languages for the same use case.
- Supported languages are selected from a searchable list within the Language field, rather than being limited to a fixed short list.
