The Port Requests page in 800.com lets you submit, track, and manage number porting requests at both the organization and account level. From this page, you can view request details, monitor progress, and take action on existing port requests.

Accessing Port Requests

You can access the Port Requests page from:

  • Organization level:
    Organization → Number Management → Port Requests

  • Account level:
    Number Management → Port Requests

From either location, users with the appropriate permissions can initiate and manage port requests.

Creating a Port Request

From the Port Requests page, you can initiate a new port request by selecting the option to create a port request and completing the required details.

Viewing Existing Port Requests

If port requests already exist, they are displayed in a table view that provides visibility into each request and its status.

Table Columns

Each port request includes the following information:

  • Request Name
    The name entered when the port request was created. Selecting this opens the individual port request details page.

  • Numbers
    Displays the total number of phone numbers included in the request. Selecting this links to the request details page.

  • Breakdown
    Shows the carrier the numbers are being ported from.
    If multiple carriers are involved, this displays the total number of carriers. Selecting this links to the request details page.

  • Created
    The date the port request was created, shown in MM/DD/YY format.

  • Number Type(s)
    Indicates whether the request includes Local, Toll-Free, or both types of numbers.

  • Status
    Displays the number of completed and pending ports within the request.
    If a request is canceled, the status shows Canceled on MM/DD/YY.

  • Requested By
    Displays the user who submitted the port request. Selecting this links to the request details page.

Searching, Filtering, and Customizing the View

Search

You can search across any column data to quickly find specific port requests.

Filters

You can filter port requests by:

  • Breakdown

  • Type

  • Number Type

  • Status

Column Selection

You can customize the table by selecting which columns are visible, allowing you to tailor the view to your workflow.

Viewing Port Request Details

You can open the port request details page by:

  • Clicking on the row, or

  • Selecting the request name or any linked column value

The details page shows all information related to the port request.

Port Request Actions (Meatball Menu)

Each port request includes a meatball menu (⋮) with the following actions:

Opens the individual port request details page.

Contact Customer Support

Opens the Contact Support modal (the same one accessed via Contact Us in the app).
When a Zendesk ticket is created, the subject line is automatically set to:
“Port Request Assistance”

Cancel Port Request

Submits a request to cancel the port.

When canceling, you’ll see the following confirmation message:

Cancel Port Request?
This will cancel the port for all numbers in the request. Once canceled, the port will not proceed and you’ll need to submit a new request if you want to restart the process.

Buttons:

  • Keep Request

  • Cancel Request

Once canceled, the request status updates accordingly.

Key Things to Know

  • Port requests can be managed at both the organization and account level

  • All requests are searchable and filterable

  • Column visibility can be customized

  • Requests can be canceled at any time before completion

  • Canceling a request stops all ports in that request
