With 800.com, receiving faxes is simple and fully digital—no fax machine, paper, or busy signals required. You can automatically receive faxes directly in your email inbox. Here’s how to set it up:

Step 1: Log Into Your 800.com Account

Start by logging into your 800.com account with your registered email and password.

Step 2: Go to the Fax Settings

Once logged in:

  1. Click “Fax” in the left-hand menu.

  2. Select “Settings” or “Fax Number Settings” (depending on your layout).

Step 3: Add Your Forwarding Email Address

In the settings panel:

  • Locate the "Forward faxes to email" section.

  • Enter the email address where you'd like incoming faxes delivered.

  • You can add more than one email address by separating them with commas.

Tip: Use a shared inbox (like sales@yourdomain.com) if multiple team members need to access faxes.

Step 4: Save Your Settings

Click “Save” or “Update” to confirm your changes. Once saved, any fax sent to your 800.com fax number will automatically be forwarded to the email address(es) you entered.

Step 5: Check Your Inbox

Faxes will arrive as PDF attachments in your email. You’ll see the caller ID (if available), date, and time in the subject or body of the email. Just open the attachment to view or print your fax.

Optional: Customize Fax Notifications

In the same settings area, you can:

  • Enable/disable email notifications for faxes

  • Set SMS alerts if you prefer to be notified on your phone

Need to Change Where Faxes Are Sent?

You can update your forwarding email(s) anytime by returning to the Fax Settings page and editing the email field.
