800 AI Agent: Knowledge Base Content Check

As your AI agent's knowledge base grows — new documents, website updates, edited FAQs — it's easy for entries to end up duplicating each other or, worse, saying two different things. Content Check scans your agent's knowledge base for exactly this and surfaces any conflicts for you to review.

What It Checks

Content Check looks across your agent's knowledge documents (and, where relevant, its main prompt and skills) for entries that:

  • Duplicate information already covered elsewhere
  • Contradict another entry, giving inconsistent answers to the same question

This includes conflicts involving working hours. If an issue involves working hours, only the knowledge base side is editable from here — your configured working hours stay as they are, since those are controlled elsewhere in your agent's settings, not from a knowledge document.

How to Run a Content Check

  1. Go to AI Agents > [Your Agent] > Knowledge.
  2. Click Check.
  3. The check runs in the background — you can leave the page and come back once it's ready, or cancel it before it finishes.

Reviewing Results

Once the check finishes, you'll see a list of issues sorted by importance, each with a confidence score. Every issue explains the conflict and shows the entries involved side by side, so you can decide whether to remove one of them or leave both as-is.

For a full breakdown of how conflicts are resolved, how custom fields get created automatically when needed, and how every change is tracked, see Managing Your AI Agent's Knowledge Base.

Why It Matters

Contradictory or duplicated knowledge is one of the fastest ways an AI agent ends up giving a caller the wrong answer. Content Check catches this before it causes a bad call, instead of after.
