800.com’s Call Transcription feature automatically transcribes your recorded calls into searchable text, making it easy to review, document, and analyze your conversations.
Important Note: Call Transcription requires Call Recording to be enabled first. If Call Recording is not active for your number, you must enable it before you can use Call Transcription.
Step 1: Log Into Your 800.com Account
Go to 800.com and log into your account with your email and password.
Step 2: Select the Number You Want to Transcribe
- Click "Numbers" in the left-hand menu.
- Find the phone number you’d like to configure.
- Click on the number itself or select “Manage” next to it.
Step 3: Enable Call Recording (if not already enabled)
- Scroll to the Call Recording section.
- Toggle Call Recording to ON.
- Select or create a recording notice to ensure proper caller notification.
- Save your changes.
⚠ Call Recording must be enabled to activate Call Transcription.
Step 4: Enable Call Transcription
Once Call Recording is active:
- Scroll to the Call Transcription section.
- Toggle Call Transcription to ON.
- Review and agree to any additional terms if prompted.
- Set a Welcome Greeting and/or Whisper Message if desired.
- Click Save to confirm your settings.
Step 5: Access Your Transcriptions
Once Call Transcription is enabled:
- Transcripts will be generated for all new recorded calls.
- You can view transcriptions by navigating to Inbox > Recordings.
- Each transcription is searchable, making it easy to locate specific words or topics within your recorded calls.
Step 6: Search Transcripts
Use the search bar within your inbox to find keywords or phrases from your call transcripts. This allows you to quickly locate conversations without having to listen to entire recordings.
Compliance Reminder
Call recording (and therefore call transcription) may be subject to federal, state, or local laws that require participant consent. Always ensure you are compliant with applicable regulations before enabling these features.
