Setting up Auto-Attendant

There are several ways to configure how your Toll-Free number should answer when a customer dials it. You can setup the Auto-Attendant (Branching) to allow the person to hear an announcement and then announces "Press 1" for "Sales" or "Press 2" for "Billing", etc. The process to set this up involves recording a Greeting and configuring the options.

Step 1:

Select Auto-Attendant in Call Routing

Step 2:

Click Settings and go into them and write a description next to each option you want and configure what number should be called when they press that number.

Step 3

Save Changes

Step 4

Record Prompts and voicemails for all options configured. In the example above. We should have the main Prompt. You will record a message like this,

"Hello and welcome to our company, Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for Billing."

For Sales, you will record a Voicemail,

"Hello you have reached John Deer sales, please your message after the beep."

For Billing, you will record a Voicemail,

"Hello you have reached John Deer billing, please your message after the beep."

You should be all set!
