Call Tracking Template for Microsoft Ads

In order for 800.com call tracking to recognize additional data from Microsoft Ads including the KEYWORD the user typed in before they called you, you must enable or modify your Microsoft Ads Tracking Template as followings.

  1. Settings > Account Settings

    1. Auto-tagging: On

  2. Campaigns > Settings > Tracking template

    New

    If you do not have any existing tracking templates, copy and paste this tracking template:

    {lpurl}?utm_term={keyword}&identifiers={TargetId}&Campaign={Campaign}&CampaignId={CampaignId}&AdGroup={AdGroup}&AdGroupId={AdGroupId}&AdId={AdId}&Network={Network}

    Modify Existing

    If you're adding to an existing template, copy and paste this template at the end of any existing templates:

    &utm_term={keyword}&identifiers={TargetId}&Campaign={Campaign}&CampaignId={CampaignId}&AdGroup={AdGroup}&AdGroupId={AdGroupId}&AdId={AdId}&Network={Network}/p

    Please Note: The tracking template shown above applies at the campaign-level of your Microsoft Advertising account, which will apply it globally to all of your ads. However, lower-level ad levels (such as ad groups or individual ads) tracking templates will have precedence over your global, campaign-level tracking parameters and interfere with cost per lead reporting. If you have tracking parameters for ad groups or individual ads, make sure to add this template at the end of those existing templates:

    &utm_term={keyword}&identifiers={TargetId}&Campaign={Campaign}&CampaignId={CampaignId}&AdGroup={AdGroup}&AdGroupId={AdGroupId}&AdId={AdId}&Network={Network}/p

  3. Auto-tagging of Click ID ENABLE/CHECK: Add Microsoft Click ID (MSCLID) to URLs to allow conversion tracking

  4. Auto-tagging of UTM ENABLE/CHECK: Add UTM tags and add any that are missing
